MySociety event – Good4Tech by Microsoft – 30 June 2016
KUALA LUMPUR, 31 MAY 2016 – we had received an invitation from SALAM to be part of Microsoft event “Tech For Good 2016” to promote our mobile application “mySociety”. Microsoft Malaysia has launched “Tech4Good” for an initiative aimed at providing non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with the technology, knowledge, community and resources they need to fulfil their missions. Tech4Good provides a platform for NGOs to have access to world-class solutions and technology that support their efforts in serving their communities, including youth, women, undocumented children and persons with disabilities.
Activities under the initiative were held during Tech4Good Day at Microsoft Malaysia, which showcased best practices, tech tips and tricks, and case studies on leveraging Microsoft technologies to more than 100 NGOs.
During the event, we were really glad to have been graced by YB Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, Deputy Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, whom even launched the event. She saw mySociety as a good platform to public and society to communicate verry well among each other.
Mysociety application offers a suite of mobile applications that can assist members and organizations to access critical information anywhere.
During the event, we took the time to approach them and sharing the information about mySociety.
Some societies are providing a wonderful feedback and register with us. We hope that they will used mySociety for their main platform to promote their societies to public and we hope they will share out mySociety to their family members and peers.
Last but not least, we would like to thanks Microsoft and Yayasan Salam for the opportunity to be part of the Tech For Good 2016 at Microsoft Auditorium, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
